The Workshop will take place at the
Casa Convalescència located at the historical site of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. The Casa de Convalescència, one of the last great works of Catalan Modernism, forms part of the complex of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. The complex was designed in the late 19th century to alleviate the shortage of hospital space in Barcelona. The hospital of Santa Creu, dating from 1401 and situated in the old city centre (Casc Antic) had become obsolete due the city's growth and breakthroughs in medicine.

The building that houses the Casa Convalescència, the work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, is one the most outstanding and representative buildings of Catalan Modernism. This is the most ambitious work of an architect who has designed such striking buildings as the Palau de la Música Catalana, Casa Lleó i Morera, Fonda Espanya, Casa Fuster, Casa Navàs and Casa Thomas, among others.

Full workshop registration includes admission to all
SIC sessions, scientific tutorials, commercial exhibits, commercial tutorials, refreshment breaks, opening reception and the closing reception.

Conferences:

· Disorders of Red Blood Cells
· Disorders of Megakaryocytes and Platelets
· Bone Marrow Aplasia
· Myelodysplastic Syndromes
· Chronic Myeloproliferative Diseases
· Myelodysplastic / Myeloproliferative diseases
· Acute Myeloid Leukemia

ESCCA 2015: Cytometry Under the Volcano

ESCCA 2015

ESCCA 2015 will be held in the Hilton Giardini Naxos, Sicily. The programme starts on Wednesday 30 September after lunch and finishes on Saturday 3 October around 17.30 hrs. Besides the Welcome Reception, the traditional Conference Dinner in a spectacular venue and a Farewell Reception at the Hilton beach, some pre- and post conference excursions will be organised as well (to be booked against an extra fee). Consider to fly in on Tuesday and leave on Sunday afternoon, to go an amazing off-track jeep or trekking excursion to Mount Etna. Or visit the historical Taormina, perched on a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea. Besides the ancient Greek theatre, it has many old churches, lively bars, fine restaurants, and antique shops.

XIV Congress of the Iberian Society for Cytometry

slider_1-1

The Congress will take place at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium located at Conference Centre. The Auditorium of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria bears the name of Alfredo Kraus, the most international Canary Island tenor and the most beloved by the general public. This is a gesture of tribute and gratitude for his work in the music world, his figure carrying the name of the city to the ends of the earth.

The building that houses the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, the work of architect Oscar Tusquets, is one of the most outstanding and representative constructions of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Situated at the end of Las Canteras Beach, this isolated and independent fortress was designed as a lighthouse to identify and protect the city. Ever since it was opened, the image of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium as a sentry watching over Las Canteras Beach has become one of the most emblematic views of the city.

Full congress registration includes admission to all SIC sessions such as workshops, parallels, plenaries, scientific tutorials, commercial exhibits, poster sessions, commercial tutorials, refreshment breaks, opening reception and the closing reception.

Dear Colleagues,

On the behalf of the Iberian Society of Cytometry (SIC) and the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to the
XIII Congress of the Iberian Society of Cytometry that will take place in Aveiro (Portugal) on May 9th- 11th of 2013.

The scientific program was drawn attending to the topical interest of the themes, which embrace a diverse range of scientific areas and where immunology, hematology, biotechnology and oncology occupy a prominent place. In the concretization of the scientific program, the XIII Congress of the Iberian Society of Cytometry relies on the presence of a significant number of invited speakers whom scientific merit is internationally recognized.

Your presence in the XIII Congress of the Iberian Society of Cytometry will be the best gratification of the effort made to concretize this event. Aveiro is a beautiful coastal town, located between Oporto and Coimbra, known as the “Portuguese Venice” and considered one of the most enchanting destinations of Portugal. This town, with a long maritime tradition, exhibits a delightful landscape, cut out by the multiple water channels of ria de Aveiro, delimited by charming Art Nouveau style buildings of the 19th century and where the colorful moliceiro boats drift.

We wish you a pleasant stay in Aveiro and that this Congress fulfills your expectations.

ESCCA SIC 2010

2010_meeting

From 22-25 September the "Tenth Euroconference on Clinical Cell Analysis" has been held at the Hotel Las Arenas in Valencia, Spain. This meeting was organized by the ESCCA in cooperation with the Sociedad Iberica de Citometria. It's been a real pleasure and an overall fantastic experience organizing this Tenth Euroconference on Clinical Cell Analysis. The organization went smoothly, and the combination of lodging and workshop presentation in The Hotel Las Arenas has been a good choice. My personal feeling is that this conference has provided an outstanding opportunity for clinic professionals to share their experiences, discuss the latest topics and an exceptional attempt to close clinics and basic research. The number of participants was very large but unfortunately it was limited by the accommodation space available. They came for many countries and most of them have a clinic background working at hospitals and research institutes, but also for the industry. Now, I would like to thank the many people who offered a myriad of unique assistance with this Euroconference on Clinical Cell Analysis. In addition I would like to thank Valencia Autonomous Government and sponsors, partners and collaborators of the convention. And most especially, I would like to thank the rest of the organizing and scientific committee for the totally smooth cooperation and the quality of their work.
Hope to see you in Dublin!

Jordi Petriz (President of the SIC)
